This new art and culture exhibit explores the transformation of the 20th century kitchen and highlights the iconic "Frankfurt Kitchen," designed in 1926-7 by architect Grete Schutte-Lihotzky. The exhibit displays the shift from kitchens that were previously built in a basement or annex to becoming a symbol of modern thinking in the domestic sphere and a testing ground for new materials, technologies and power sources.
